Agustí Torelló Mata is a distinguished family company producing sparkling wines in the Penedès region. The traditional grape varieties of the area (Macabeo, Xarel.lo and Parellada, together with red Trepat and white Malvasia/Subirat Parent varieties) make up the basis for the company’s wines. The practice of marking the year of harvest and date of disgorging on each of the half million bottles produced annually has become symbolic of the ATM wines.
Our Selections
We are proud to offer two gran reservas in Brut and Brut Nature versions, the Gran Reserva Barrica (a single variety wine made from Macabeo vines over 30 years old, with 40% of the base wine fermented and aged for six months in French oak casks), along with a Trepat rose (aged atleast 18 months). We include one of the three organic, single variety white wines from the collection: the Xic Xarel.lo.
Most reputable of all is the celebrated and sought-after Kripta (limited production in numbered bottles), which is a blend of Macabeo, Parellada and Xarel.lo from vines over 60 years old, aged for at least 48 months giving it complexity and balance.
